Why would ROH get rid of Maira?

Simple Fan 01-09-2016 05:55 PM

Think it was Maria and Bennett's decision and TNA might have offered them more money.

Bram Truth?

I watched earlier in the week, maybe my expectations were too high. Not at all taken with the idea of Beer Money getting back together, and whilst the arrival of Bennett is welcome, there was rumour they'd end up in WWE/NXT and I'd probably have preferred that.

EC3 as champ is cool but it basically resets things to where they were 2 months ago.

I guess 10th place is good enough for the 5th worst wrestling company around.

TNA Title spolier
SPOILER: show
Read on wikipidea the matt hardy is champ again.... lol why?

Simple Fan 01-20-2016 12:55 AM

Hate that they took the title off EC3 so quick but they really did a good job doing it. Turning EC3 face might be a good choice. Still made him look strong in defeat though. Heel Matt Hardys alright.

Basically starting EC3's face turn. Matt pulled out all kinds of heel tatics to try and win (low blow, Reby handed him a hammer to use) then Tyrus turned on EC3. Matt hit him with the title, won and announced its the era of Big Money Matt. Pretty good Last Man Standing match though.

Big Vic 01-20-2016 09:23 AM

Hmmm ok it makes sense :y:

It's not a bad idea for them to turn him face. He's extremely charismatic, and they have a few potential "main event heels" in the future (Eli Drake, Bram, Jessie Godderz, Mike Bennett) and the only really strong face they have right now is Drew Galloway. It wouldn't be bad to build a second one, now

Simple Fan 01-20-2016 07:19 PM

Knew he would turn face eventually and I like how they did it. The Hardys contracts are up in February and giving him the title might be some insensitive to resign with them. Big Money Matt seems like it could be a good gimmick for him. Dont know if they have forgot about Tyrus being # 1 contender or not, EC3 mentioned it but I dont see Tyrus faceing Matt after he joined him.

Mr. Nerfect 01-22-2016 11:20 AM

Heel Matt Hardy works in theory. Babyface Matt is a bit dry at this point, but I can buy a Hardy clinging to relevance by aligning with a powerhouse and basically screwing over the younger, cooler guy -- the guy that Matt Hardy used to be.

I see the WWE snapping up The Hardys in February if their contracts are up. The WWE are going to want to stack WrestleMania.

Hmm, I HOPE they keep them around past Feb, it would seem really rushed to have Matt lose the title again a month after winning it (and make EC3 a three time champ in less than a year). It looks like they want to do Matt vs Jeff first (with Jeff being the face) and eventually turn it into Heel Matt vs Face EC3 after that. I ASSUME EC3 gets the belt back then, and he moves on to a feud with Mike Bennett (after that little rendezvous backstage last week) and etc, etc from there....

Simple Fan 01-22-2016 03:11 PM

Yeah and you can have EC3 and Tyrus while they work out tge Jeff/Matt situation. Maybe even have it be if EC3 beats Tyrus he looses his championship opportunity that he won back at BFG.

Hell yeah thats way cool. Way to go with them high fives.

Thanks, did a tag match with him for a local show. Great guy, great match, he gave me the rub. The best part.... someone (we'll just call them a "smark") asked him after the show, when are you going to NXT? He didn't necessarily shit on he guy (which I probably would haveif I washim) but he pretty much said don't believe everything you read. He said TNA pays him really well/ treats him right, the company is steadily progressing. He said, he's a star on a national product... why would he go anywhere else?

Simple Fan 01-22-2016 06:30 PM

Yeah, TNA has done a tremendous job building him up and with his babyface turn there is no doubt he'll be the face of that company going forward. One of my favorite wrestlers right now.

You kind of remind me of rock star Cesaro for some reason. That's a good thing.

Mr. Nerfect 01-22-2016 10:46 PM

I could see Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy vs. EC3 down the line. The plan should be to move the title on EC3 and have Mike Bennett built up and ready to go.

Simple Fan 01-22-2016 11:17 PM

Really like what TNA has done with the main event and the women. The tag divison is a little dry as its the Wolves and Beer Money as the only two legitimate teams. I like the Bram/EY pairing but dont think it will be any thing long term. Dont like the Jesse/Eli Drake pairng though. Hate the King of the Mountian Championship and wish it was still simply the TNA Television Championship but it is what it is. Feel like the X Division gets the most over looked and is pretty much a cruiserweight title now. I think Mohabali Sheria/Koya (not sure about thst spelling) would be great for the X Divison and used kind of like a Samoa Joe type character.

Cesaro was one of/ if not the coolest person I met when I did my "15 mins" with the WWE last year.

Mr. Nerfect 01-22-2016 11:38 PM

That is so cool.

Simple Fan 01-23-2016 03:20 PM

ROH Top Prospect tournament starts this week. Supposedly this guy trained Sascha Banks

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...1ALTkX_0imozht

He won his first round match against Shameem Ali.

Simple Fan 01-23-2016 03:52 PM

Really dont like Kyle O'Reilly being in the main event for ROH 14th Anniversary show. Lethal vs Adam Cole vs Kyle O'Reilly for the ROH World Championship. Hope either Cole or Lethal win. Dont really like Red Dragon as a tag team but woukd raher them stat as a team than go into singles competition

Mr. Nerfect 01-23-2016 09:49 PM

Well, here's to Brian Fury winning the thing.

Simple Fan 01-26-2016 03:29 PM

Jeff Hardy has resigned with TNA.

drave 01-26-2016 03:48 PM

Glad he retired.

Simple Fan 01-26-2016 09:08 PM

lol Tyrus carring Matt and Reby's baby to the ring.

Simple Fan 01-26-2016 09:21 PM

Feast or Fired

Simple Fan 01-26-2016 09:28 PM

Grado definitely got the fired case, I hope.

Simple Fan 01-26-2016 09:39 PM

Drew Galloway, Eli Drake, and James Storm grab the remaining cases.

Simple Fan 01-26-2016 09:41 PM

Not sure whats in the cases necessarily, I know one is fired and one is a World title shot, ones a Tag team title shot but Pope and Mathews were talking about their being a King of the Mountian case so I dont know if their is a X division case. Will find out later at the reveal I guess.

Simple Fan 01-26-2016 09:56 PM

Gregory Helms vs Tigre Uno might be pretty good. Havent seen Helms wrestle in a while though.

Simple Fan 01-26-2016 10:32 PM

Crazy Steve and Abyss seems like a intriguing team. Definitely the best use of Crazy Steve since he got to TNA. Dont know who this chick is though.
