Ryan Braddock - World Champion.

Simple Fan 02-09-2016 06:55 PM

Not sure if he is going there or not. Thought I read somthing about it but couldn't find anything when I went to look it up earlier today.

I think you guys are thinking of Will Ospreay who got signed by NJPW (I think TNA is using "local talents" for shows, and he was on the UK tour with them).
I don't really see much of a difference between the O'Shea gimmick and the Jay Bradley one, outside of the fact that he's of "Irish decent" (I don't think I've ever heard him fake an accent) and has different gear (personally, I like the pants/ wifebeater on him more than traditional trunks).

Simple Fan 02-09-2016 07:33 PM

Yea that was who it was Will Ospreay, Don't know what made me think of Oshea.

Simple Fan 02-09-2016 07:33 PM

I just liked his look better as Jay Bradley.

Simple Fan 02-09-2016 09:04 PM

Tyrus just looks funny holding little baby Maxle.

Simple Fan 02-09-2016 10:06 PM

Never liked the Wolves in ROH but I like what TNA has done with them. To bad the TNA Tag Team titles are cursed.

Simple Fan 02-09-2016 10:21 PM

Love that TNA still allows piledrivers. Jade has a pretty nice cradle piledriver.

I actually really liked that match. I always thought Madison Rayne is kinda "underrated" IMO. She is soo much better in that ring that Velvet or Angelina, I think she's one of the better Knockouts on the roster

why does mat not have a babysitter i feel sorry for the ugly kid, he allready saw kong beat his moms ass.

Simple Fan 02-11-2016 12:49 PM

Big Money Matt can't afford one? Would like to see Tyrus on his own. Maybe once EC3 regains the title Tyrus will leave Matt and go solo. He is the #1 contender.

Always thought she was the best wrestler of the Beautiful People. Knockouts division is the best women's wrestling in the world in my opinion. Gail Kim has done wonders for the division. Love that they let them do cage, ladder, last knockout standing matches to.

That's a great take for the state of women's wrestling.

In 2007.

Simple Fan 02-11-2016 01:52 PM

They still do all that though. TNA has been great to the Knockouts in letting them do just as much as the men do. They have been the best women's wrestling since 2007 I would say.

I don't know if their division is the best around now.... I think Gail, Jade and Madison are the three best workers and Marti looks good at times.... butt Rebel is very hard to watch (so are Velvet and Angelina even after all these years). I heard they fired Brooke (because she wanted more money) and Kong's gone which sucks. At the ONO special, they had the blond chick from Tough Enough (the one Tanner was obsessed with) and Diana Poloza (can't spell her last name) debut. Supposedly they signed another talent from Shimmer, and I am really interested in seeing what Rosemary is like in the ring. Things are looking bright for the Knockouts in my opinion...

It wasn't a knock on EC3. He's just the sort of awesome act that is in the "paying dues" segment of his career. Matt Hardy is a heel veteran that is on the way down and grabbing whatever branch he can to remain relevant. The two fighting over a mid-card title makes perfect sense and is good aesthetically for the company.

Even if Lashley isn't around all the time, he can give off the presence of a traveling World Champion. The dude is a legit killer. Kurt Angle had the legitimacy to get in the ring with him. Jeff Hardy has the name and the popularity. Maybe Davey Richards could have been slotted in as a "plucky young guy fighting above his weight." Bobby Roode and James Storm could also be main event players in TNA. But no one else is really there.

Mr. Nerfect 02-11-2016 08:01 PM

Actually, Bram has something too. The guy is a piece of shit, but pieces of shit are a good fit for wrestling and you know he's not going to be back in the WWE.

Mr. Nerfect 02-11-2016 08:02 PM

And maybe Ken Anderson. But they've fucked him up a lot.

Mr. Nerfect 02-11-2016 08:04 PM

Jim Mitchell could be the manager for Lashley and then turn on him in a match with Bram. :y:

Rollermacka 02-25-2016 05:47 PM

So (personal) highlights from the last two weeks of Impact.

I liked the Monster's Ball tag team match. I liked the "creative spots" (like Rosemary pouring the tacts on Eddie's head and trying to hit it with a chair) more than just seeing someone get slammed into tacts.

Personally.... I hate to say this..... I didn't hate Mahabali Shera's performance in the tag match. I still laugh at Grado, personally. Hopefully they'll finish this gimmick and do something alittle more "serious" with him

I liked the Bram/ EY vs Beer Money feud. I think the cage match should be the end of it and both teams should go their separate ways.

I may be in the minority..... but I like what they're doing with Matt Hardy. I think he's really working hard to keep up with EC3, it's turning out to be a really good feud.

Simple Fan 02-26-2016 09:14 PM

I like Big Money Matt, the Spud turn surprised me. EC3 is one of the best booked characters in wrestling an his face turn is going pretty good and Matt is perfect for the story.

Would like to see Shera go after the X division title and be a Samoa Joe type character. He's way better than a dancing Indian. Kinda wish he would have kept the Koya name.

Feel like the TNA Tag Team titles are cursed. Seems like anyone who holds them one of them gets hurt. Could see Beer Money having a long reign. TNA needs some more legitimate tag teams though.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2016 02:56 AM

Matt Hardy is a good performer and some of the feuds he has been involved in have been quite memorable. I think he's a good choice to go against EC3. I take it that he's added Rockstar Spud to his entourage? That's a good move. A little comedy guy is a double-edged sword. Gertner said it best when he said that it hurts anyone that they beat and it doesn't help anyone that beats them. As an annoying piece of shit, people might like to see him get beaten up.

Mahabali Sheera could have a very bright future. Young guy and he's trying to get his shit over. He's probably got a long way to go and jamming him down people's throats is not the way to go. I don't know if TNA is the place to get better either. Dude would be better off in Japan, working in the indies or trying his hand out in NXT. Buuuut, if he's happy, more power to him.

Sheera should probably be a heel though. Cocky Indian guy who thinks he's the best. He'd be good with Matt Hardy too, but I don't want to add too many to those ranks. Sheera & Spud as a heel team could work though.

I don't "Hate" Shera, I (in some ways) feel bad for him. Considering he's only been wrestling for a couple of years.... he's not as bad as people think he is. With that said, I think TNA "overexposed" him in a lot of ways. I think he should of only did squashes for like a year, so he can develop a bit of "comfortability" in the ring, then he could start working towards longer matches and more high profile feuds.

Rollermacka 03-02-2016 11:03 PM

On to this week's episode, I liked Angle vs Roode. Both are amazing wrestlers, both always put on great matches, only "complaint" is that Roode should of won (but it's understandable with this being Angle's "next to last match ever")
Wasn't "crazy" about the Jimmy Havoc/ Abyss match.... no pun intended :shifty: I'll try to explain it, but it felt to me like when an indie company brings in a wrestling star to wrestle their top star (if that makes any sense) That's not a knock on Jimmy Havoc, he's a great "monster" in his own right (I've enjoyed his stuff in ICW) but when you put him in the ring with a guy like Abyss whose half a foot taller and outweighs him by 200 lbs.... it just looks off to me.
EY vs Big Damo..... I expected more :/ Same feel as the Havoc match, I watch ICW (where Damo is also from) but it just didn't have "it" for me
I think the EC3 story is progressing well. I think they're building the storyline well, and he will come out of it as the main face in the company.
I still like Grado..... still not sure why
Jade is seemingly finally getting that title push.... no complaints on that.
I like the feud between Bennett and Galloway. Both guys have very bright futures in the company, I hope this builds up both guys to get to that "next level"

Simple Fan 03-15-2016 11:12 PM

Drew Galloway is the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Cashed in his Feast or Fired briefcase.

Another Ex-WWE guy picks up the low-hanging fruit. It's been 2 years since a non-former WWE guy has had the belt (Eric Young.)

Big Vic 03-16-2016 08:30 AM

Eric Young was in WWE?

Simple Fan 03-16-2016 12:14 PM

No EY was the last non WWE guy to hold the title.

Big Vic 03-16-2016 01:26 PM

Oh my bad, do we really consider EC3 an Ex WWE guy? He made his name in TNA. Was barely on TV in WWE.

Simple Fan 03-16-2016 05:27 PM

I don't but he did spend time there so you could call him a WWE guy I suppose.

Savio 03-17-2016 07:25 PM

I think if you do that you gotta consider AJ Styles an ex WCW guy

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-18-2016 12:48 AM

AJ didn't spend 4 years in WCW's system. EC3 did spend 4 years in WWE.

Ruien 03-18-2016 07:33 AM

Who was EC3 in WWE?

Bobby Roode and Eric Young leaving TNA.

Quote:

According to sources, both Bobby Roode and Eric Young have asked for their releases from TNA Wrestling and will be finishing up their runs at tonight’s tapings in Orlando. Working this weekend’s events were part of their agreements. Both men have been a part of the company since 2004.

TNA issued the following statement: “Impact Wrestling has come to terms on the release of veteran wrestlers Bobby Roode and Eric Young (Jeremy Fritz). Bobby and Eric have been valuable members of The Impact Roster since 2004 and we wish them nothing but the best in their careers going forward.

Bobby had this to say earlier today, “To the guys and girls I got to work with for the past 12 years, Impact Wrestling, the office and everyone associated with me getting to live this dream, I say thank you. It is time for me to move on to the next chapter in my life. This has been amazing.”

Eric Young had this to say. “Thank you. Thank you to everyone who watched me for the past 12 years. Thank you to Impact Wrestling. I wish everyone here nothing but the best going forward.”

Executive Vice President of Creative and Television, John Gaburick added, “Bobby and Eric are true professionals. We salute them for the 12 years they gave TNA.

With a Superstar roster including EC3, James Storm, Drew Galloway, Jeff and Matt Hardy, “The Destroyer” Bobby Lashley, Gail Kim, The Wolves, Maria Kanellis-Bennett and “The Miracle” Mike Bennett we couldn’t be more excited about showcasing the finest wrestling in the world for the Impact fans.”

In the coming weeks be sure to see the final matches of both Bobby Roode and Eric Young on Impact Wrestling at 9PM EST on Pop TV

erickman 03-20-2016 03:32 PM

both belt holders, those tag belts are cursed. wonder why they are leaving now with the new tv deal.

Simple Fan 03-20-2016 03:39 PM

Tag Team titles are cursed. Really need Bro Mans back together now. Wouldn't mind if EY took the King of the Mountain championship with him.

erickman 03-20-2016 03:50 PM

wonder if gfw has a tv deal and if ey is giving them that belt
