So that justifies it?
|
Justifies what? It's not a bad story line, the X division is open to everybody so I don't have a problem with Bennett as X Division champion. Especially if it's to build him up for a TNA Heavyweight title match. But I could honestly see Eddie or someone taking it from him, maybe in a ultimate x match that he would be lost in. After that he'd have another gripe with TNA and he can go on to what ever is next.
|
Justifies treating the belt like it's shit.

https://wrestlingwithdemetri.files.w...w-gifs-004.gif Onto the business at hand, from what I've been told (again, super cereal insider knowledge) the original plan was for Bram to win the Gauntlet for the Gold at BFG last year, turn face and challenge for the world title. Unfortunately, he had his legal problems so they had to push back the plans. Speaking of Decay, is it just me..... or did Rosemary get REALLY hot recently? She changed up on the make up (somewhat), showing off her body alittle more (what she was wearing at Slammiversary ) and is doing something different with her hair.... |

It fits with Bennett's character and it could end up putting Eddie Edwards over if he beats him. Couldn't see Eddie cashing in Option C though. |
Is Aiden O'Shea still with TNA? Could see Bram teaming with him to combat Decay.
|
I like O'Shea as well, not sure why he hasn't really been used recently. I really liked his match against Spud at the Live ONO PPV.
I like Al Snow's "wrestling roots" gimmick, it would of been cool if he had recruited O'Shea as his enforcer. Considering O'Shea been wrestling for a long time, he could be "bitter" that Grado and Shera are getting opportunities not him. Plus, he's a throwback style wrestler so it would kind of fit too. |
I'd at they just don't have anything for him so him joining Bram would work I think. They also signed Caleb Konley but reportedly they don't have anything for him either.

Think Monkey would be great for the X division. They also have a guy named Marshe Rocket or something like that get to debut. He's a tall skinny black guy but I've never seen any of his stuff. With Destination X coming up I could see them debuting to build up the X division a bit more.

I've talked to friends who have worked with the black guy, he's a good, well rounded talent from what people have told me. He's actually a pretty big guy (kinda built like Drew Galloway but alittle leaner) They MAY be waiting to debut him and Konley so that it doesn't take away from Braxton and the Tribunal's debuts. |
Yeah auto correct changed Konley to monkey.
True about waiting, Rockette doesnt have a Wikipedia page but his faction The Soul Touchas do and it list him as 6'4 215lbs. Would like to see the X Divison get back to where it used to be, a few guys that are bigger but can fly like Konley and Rockett would help the divison a lot. At least I hope a guy named Rockett would be a high flyer. |

I found a match, he's the one in trunks. Looking at where the ropes are on him, he's got some size. |

I like the idea of Al Snow managing Aiden O'Shea. Grado and Shera can job the fuck right out to him.

Yeah, he's really young. He's been in the spotlight since he basically started to wrestle. He should go to OVW or get some time abroad so he actually gets good. He's not a dead horse just yet, but he will be if they keep beating him.

POP TV and TNA announced this afternoon that they are moving TNA iMPACT! Wrestling to 8PM ET on Thursday nights, starting on July 21st. The move was expected, with SmackDown moving to Tuesday nights and going live, starting on July 19th…

so impact and smackdown are switching timeslots, good to see we get wrestling mon through fri from raw to new japan

Moose made his TNA debut last night joining The Miracle Mike Bennett ruin Destination X in the main event. Really thought they would change his name but I'm fine with him staying Moose.

Yeah it's a great signing and I look for him to do well in TNA. Could see him starting in the X Division as Bennett's answer to his X Division failures. Easily sets up a face turn when he turns on Bennett.
|
Bobby Lashley won the X Division title last night. I'm hoping Moose takes it off him and becomes that big guy that dominates the X Division .
|
Moose going to TNA isn't a surprise. He has domestic violence in his history, so I can understand the WWE distancing themselves from him. I don't know if I'd have debuted him as a lackey though.
Also, why the fuck is Bobby Lashley X-Division Champion? This shit sounds incredibly stupid. |
Eddie didn't take option C and instead put the X Division title on the line with the Heavyweight title so the winner took both titles. I like it, they have already planted the seeds for Lashley vs Moose and I could see it being for the X Division title. Moose could be the new Samoa Joe of the X Division.
|
So Moose pins the World Champion to win a secondary title. Brilliant.
|
None of this makes me want to watch TNA, which is what they desperately need to do right now. Eddie Edwards as X-Division Champion could have done that. If they didn't want him to go after the World Title, they could have just had him say he wants to represent the X-Division. Just because you have an idea doesn't mean you need to follow it.
|
I thought it was great for Eddie and he got to be in the main event with Lashley. It's kind of like Lethal holding the TV and World titles in ROH and I wasn't the biggest fan of him losing the TV title but they made it work. Davey Richards is close to being back so I'd say they want the Wolves back in the tag division that is pretty weak at the moment.

Moose better be an A+ in the ring or on the mic cos at the minute he just looks like a flabbier Lashley.
|
He's not had a whole lot of time on the mic in ROH as he was mostly with Prince Nana or Stoakly Hathaway. He has gotten better in the ring in the last year. His style is way different than Lashley as he's a lot more agile and tends to do more dives. Wouldn't call him A+ at either, a solid B- I'd say with potential to be A+.

1) Lashley is expecting Edwards to challenge for the World Title; Edwards declines. Lashley claims that Edwards is scared; Edwards says he wants to represent the X-Division. Lashley gets cocky and says he'll put the World Title on the line without Option C being invoked. 2) Edwards uses Option C. It's there for a reason. Eddie takes Bobby to the limit, but eventually loses. As a result, Edwards is no longer the X-Division Champion and has to re-contend. Those are just off the top of my head. |
I don't know I kind of like Bobby holding both belts. It gives his character more to brag about and now he can roll through the X Division contenders while the Bound for Glory Playoff is going on. I really like the thought of Moose as the X Divison Champion so I want to see Moose win it somehow, wouldn't necessarily need to be clean.
|
You're allowed to like it, but objectively speaking it demolishes the division. The champion is going to have to be beaten to lose one of his belts, and that's always the problem with having a guy holding two at a time.

Such a simple angle that people can really relate to and can be used to build heat between the two. I wonder if that was a Kevin Sullivan idea?
|
I know Adam Cole is supposed to be really great, but I kind of want the reign of Jay Lethal to go on forever, and for him to be what was suggested -- an American Okada.
