Anthony Mackie is a bit one note. He can play cool or brooding but if he needs to turn the energy up he's pretty poor.

Season 2 cast is fine because Poe is still there. Poe is the only person in the entire mythos that matters at all. This is his story.

Finished season 2 this morning.

Only question I got for now is why bring in Neal McDonaugh as Konrad Harlan if you're only going to use him for 30 seconds? Unless he's still lurking and may be a focus in season 3.

Wasn't a fan of the season in general. Not so much a casting problem, but more plot. Poe vs. The Reboot was a better plotline than Tak's stuff overall. The payoff for that sorta stunk. Will Yun Lee running around now gives me hope that he gets a season to himself. Always liked his work. Hope he ain't completely written off.

Didn't have a problem with Anthony Mackie. Though Lela Loren was mis-cast. Probably could have found a meaner bitch. Coin toss on Simone Missick. See Neal McDonough in the post above. Salli Richardson-Whitfield directing the last episode and sneaking in for a cameo was cool. She's been doing some good work lately.

I think a new showrunner and being careful with the cast will make season 3 great. Don't know if it got renewed.

Finishing up Episode 5 of S2 right now... I think I came in to the season just happy the show was back. The honeymoon is over...I much preferred Joel Kinnaman. I don't blame Anthony Mackie. They've just wrote his role without any personality.

This season just didn't have anything that wanted me to continue to watch. The whole genre is cool, which is what hooked me. The AI were definitely the stars this season, hands down.
