Some of it does have to do with giving Kenny Omega, a dude with no experience developing, a position of power. The developers that haven’t been run off have basically apologized in advance for the game’s limits and missing functions. “Severely over budget” was a phrase used. That’s not just expensive, that’s over budget.

Something about that just seems lazy. I get they’re throwing the towel in, but still.

I definitely don’t take myself too seriously lol. If it comes off as I do? Well, I’m not in control of that, but I think there are plenty of people here who have enjoyed an “impish, light-hearted” joke with me. And I’ve admitted I am wrong a bunch of times. I honestly do think this is a bit of a projection people do to make it easier to disagree with things they don’t want to disagree with.

I’ve largely blocked out the ribbing. I’ve gotten a bunch of it over the years. I’m so fucking used to it I don’t really care. I’ll argue with the points when I care to, and I don’t think the stuff in here from, say, Vito is good spirited at all. That’s some nasty buried shit. The dog piling and the straw man shit low-key bothers me because it’s just awful discussion and I can see it really troubling people when they’re the victims of it, but it’s largely just white noise to me personally.
