Oh man Cowboy Bebop handled Mad Pierrot perfectly. So much better than I had thought they would or even hoped for. The show deserved its second season based on this alone.

Also LOL at Spike and Vicious having a random conversation about shaving/not shaving their balls.

show was shit. 60% of the audience in ep 1 didnt return for ep 2 and by ep 3 the show was basically a private theater for you 3 assholes. lets not look back fondly on that fucking turd

Yeah, I've rarely seen an adaptation miss the tone and and atmosphere of the source as badly as Cowboy Bebop. If you want to change things up and do your own thing that much, then fine, but make something original then, instead of an adaptation.

People probably wouldnt have disliked this as much if it was an original ip. Writing was still bad, but it may have lasted long enough to turn itself around instead of being immediately cancelled.

I think I recall watching trailers that were comparing the 1st episode side-by-side to the anime, and it was pretty spot on.


Took a shit after that, and the only REAL good parts revolved around Mad Pierrot.

Watched the first season and a couple of episodes of season 2... really like it

Wasn't liking it for like the first half of the first season but then started getting very good imho!

Theres the occasional shot taken straight from the anime, but theres usually a brown or blue tint and all the color has been drained, making it look worse than the original.

Ironically, the best looking shots are the ones they came up with on their own. There are moments where the cinematography is very good. Thats the only really good thing I can say about the show.

I'd be interested to watch it as a guy who has never seen the anime and see what I think..... but it was canceled so I probably won't

Even if you've never seen the anime, Ed is one of the cringiest things you will see on a show.

Rome was a great show for the first season and still a damned good one for season two but I think they were spending too much on production so it got the axe.
I remember it fondly anyway, could well be worth watching again. The action scenes were pretty great.

Trips you might enjoy Spartacus Blood And Sand if you like Rome.

Myers’s newer stuff has a way of making you appreciate the older stuff less (partially because his shit is usually recycled from his older work)

Hey he's still not automatically off-putting for me because I was a mark for Austin Powers and Waynes World when I was a kid.

Anyways, as I tend to do, I didn't watch one of the super popular shows that everyone was into when it was popular. Dunno why I tend to shy away from things everyone else loves, but it what it is and now I finally get around to watching something 73 years late.

This time it was Breaking Bad. I'm not even giving thoughts on the show other than to say I was an idiot for not watching this before. Oh and Walter is the fucking man. Predictably I followed up with El Camino and now I'm on to Better Call Saul. I really gotta stop doing this to myself. Maybe I'll watch Game of Thrones after this. Or The Sopranos. You get the picture.

The Sopranos is a must-watch.
