How can Chris Mordetzky wear a Chris Masters t shirt on impact

Simple Fan 09-07-2015 07:07 PM

I know I seen that to.

Mr. Nerfect 09-07-2015 08:00 PM

TNA should drop back to one hour. I'd posts my reasons, but I honestly can't be bothered. Short summary: I think a surprising lot of good would come from it, not least because it is requesting less of an emotional investment at this point in time. NXT has made shorter programming blocks stylish again. Don't put your guys on every episode and have them work GFW if they want more dates.

DAMN iNATOR 09-08-2015 08:37 AM

Doesn't matter what they do at this point. If Destination America is determined that TNA is gone @ the end of the month, so be it. And good luck getting any other networks to sign them to a new deal. If they want to survive they may well have to go to an online-exclusive format, althoufh that would almost certainly be the death knell for them.

Mr. Nerfect 09-08-2015 07:54 PM

You're probably right, but they'll have a better chance pitching a shorter, simpler show to networks, who won't have to pay as much for the time.

Knockouts were really the highlight of Impact this week. WWE needs to watch Impact to see how to present womens wrestling. In a 2 hour show they were able to showcase 11 women (12 if you count Karen Jarrett) without any of it feeling forced or corny.

Simple Fan 09-10-2015 02:08 AM

Hell of a match between Lethal and Strong. ROH really got something going with Jay Lethal.

Ehhh, I doubt they could learn anything in 3 short weeks...

Simple Fan 09-10-2015 09:11 PM

They could learn a lot from this weeks episode alone.

Jay Lethal is a future legend, sadly he'd be the new comedy R-Truth if WWE snatched him up, but that would lead to more Ric Flair impersonations

Mr. Nerfect 09-12-2015 02:12 AM

Lol, Jay Lethal is only 30.

Mr. Nerfect 09-12-2015 02:13 AM

Dude's tearing it up. I want to see Sinclair smash some money into ROH and try and get him some top competition and expand ROH.

Simple Fan 09-12-2015 11:31 AM

Agree with the ROH expansion. Feel like they could draw bigger arenas, not WWE big but get out of the small warehouse looking arenas. They have a great working agreement with NJPW and is booked pretty good. Lethal has been booked great since he got to ROH. I'm very interested to see who takes the belts off him but would like to see him hold them for a while. I think Moose would be a good candidate as well as Adam Cole.

Mr. Nerfect 09-12-2015 07:58 PM

I have to be honest -- I hate it when they have two belts on a guy. Let's say Moose beats Jay Lethal for the TV Title. That means Moose beats the World Champion. So surely it makes sense that he gets a World Title shot right? But then let's say Lethal keeps the World Title. He just took that big win away from Moose. If you've got two belts, you have the chance to be making two guys.

They've got Lethal defending the TV Title against Bobby Fish at an upcoming show in Texas. Kyle O'Reilly is challenging for the World Title. I'm not entirely in sync with ROH's booking style, but I think it could be damaging to have Lethal beat both Fish and O'Reilly in the same night -- especially given that reDRagon just put over The Young Bucks at a house show, and O'Reilly has been teaming with Adam Cole on a couple of occasions recently.

I'd have Lethal defeat Fish in the TV Title match. But seeing an opportunity, some wacky backstage off-camera shenanigans go on. In the main event, Bobby Fish shows up and costs Kyle O'Reilly the match. Lethal and Truth Martini have convinced Fish that if O'Reilly beats Lethal and Fish couldn't -- his career is dead in the water. Maybe they hand Fish a big lump of money to sweeten the deal. This sets up Fish vs. O'Reilly as a big feud.

Lethal is then obviously moving towards a title program with Roderick Strong, meanwhile Dalton Castle and The Boys are training Silas Young up to take the TV Title off Lethal so that Castle can again contend for it.

Dalton Castle recently spoke with Ring Rust Radio, here are the highlights…

On working with Jushin Liger and what he learned: Do you remember the way you felt when you saw Jushin Thunder live? Do you remember when he hit that ring the way you felt as a fan? Do you remember that giddiness you felt inside? The butterflies in your belly, the excitement, the smile that you couldn’t wipe off your face? Now trying doing that but being inside the ring he gets in. It’s tough to focus on an opponent when you grew up watching him. What I have learned is to stop liking people. You lose some focus if you do.

On preparing for big matches: Well, I guess I can’t treat a match different. Each match I treat kind of the same. I want to be the best, I want to win, I want it all. If I’m not putting as much focus in one match as I am in the other, then I am going to slip up and something bad is going to happen. With that being said, going up against Lethal and Cole, two people I truly do respect as performers and wrestlers, I do focus a little bit harder. I get a little bit nervous but the bottom line is I have been doing this for a while, I know what I am doing, I am fearless, and I am a hell of an athlete. So I always try to remind myself of how good I actually am and that calms me down a little bit.

What went into creating the Dalton Castle persona and were there any inspirations: Well, I have been building this for several years. You start wrestling, you learn the moves, and then you learn how to carry yourself through a match, and frustration builds when you don’t get the attention that you think you deserve. You try something new and you try something else new and I didn’t see myself getting the focus that I thought I needed or wanted or craved. I needed that attention so I kept thinking about how could I get more eyes on me, how can I stand out, and what are people not doing that I can do? You add a little bit here, you put on a suit, you add a boy or two, and things kind of fall into place. It didn’t happen overnight that’s for sure. As far as influences or who helped paved the way? It wasn’t anybody in wrestling, its rock and roll. I look to glam rock, I look to people who perform on stage regardless of how good their music is, but how they present themselves. People like Freddie Mercury, Elton John, Liberace, the guys from Foxy Shazam and the Darkness, those are all people that stood out to me and I kind have taken from them and put it into my own act.

Simple Fan 09-30-2015 09:10 PM

Love it when EC3 throws out WWE references. Called Drew, Dixie's chosen one but paused an looked right at the camera as he said "chosen one".

Simple Fan 09-30-2015 09:50 PM

Hell, Tommaso Caimpa on Impact.

Simple Fan 09-30-2015 10:59 PM

BFG main event now a triple threat, EC3/Matt Hardy/Drew Galloway with Jeff Hardy as the special guest referee.

Mr. Nerfect 10-02-2015 07:37 PM

Ugh. I had just gotten used to the idea of Jeff Hardy being at ringside, costing EC3 the match, setting up a program with him in his homestate. Now Matt Hardy is the big babyface. This is a cluster.

Simple Fan 10-02-2015 07:42 PM

Hopefully EC3 retains. With Matt being added I kind of fell like that will happen. Could use this as a Jeff Hardy heel turn if they wanted.

Mr. Nerfect 10-02-2015 07:48 PM

Jeff Hardy turning heel is probably the worst thing they could do.

Simple Fan 10-02-2015 09:14 PM

I think putting the title on Galloway is. EC3 has beaten all the TNA hall of famers and is undefeated only to have a former WWE mid carder beat him? I'm all for Galloway getting the title down the line, just don't think He's a good choice to beat EC3.

Mr. Nerfect 10-04-2015 06:52 PM

I would agree with you, if it weren't for Jeff Hardy being involved, and the PPV being held in Greensboro or something. Hardy should turn face at the PPV, help Galloway, then we can move into The Hardys vs. EC3 & Tyrus and Galloway vs. Angle or something.

Simple Fan 10-21-2015 11:32 PM

ROH pretty good this week. Love The Kingdom, hope Adam Cole is the one to take the titles off Lethal. Adam Page vs Jay Brisco in a No Holds Barred match coming up.

DAMN iNATOR 10-22-2015 12:59 AM

I'm guessing TNA is still more painful to watch than a Dr. Jack Kevorkian assisted suicide?

Simple Fan 10-22-2015 02:38 AM

They aired the BFG main event tonight. Its not bad, the matches are good and the world title series is coming along. EC3 beat Lashly and now has 4 points.

It's not too bad IMO. The matches are good.... the only thing that kinda is a buzzkill is that the matches are from months ago :-\

Mr. Nerfect 10-27-2015 09:56 PM

The TNA World Title Series is pretty dumb. This is not going to be as well booked as a New Japan tournament, and so many guys are just going to get wins over each other.

Simple Fan 10-27-2015 11:57 PM

It might have been something if it was live and properly planned. With the matches being taped months ago and contradicting storylines its kinda meh. EC3 should win.

Simple Fan 10-28-2015 12:01 AM

What's dumb though is Tyrus's situation. The titles vacant and he's the #1 contender but he has to wait for the World Title Series for a champion to be crowned.

Mr. Nerfect 10-28-2015 08:01 PM

That is pretty dumb. So is a top babyface just giving up the World Title he has spent the last few years working towards.

Rollermacka 10-30-2015 12:25 PM

Did anyone else catch the Dijak vs Moose match from this week's ROH? Damm.... I gotta step up my game to catch up with those big men

Mr. Nerfect 11-01-2015 06:33 AM

I'm hearing more and more about Moose. Not sure if I like the name, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't end up in WWE before too long. If Sinclair wanted more from ROH, then he'd be a guy to get behind.

And Dalton Castle. Twice.

Simple Fan 11-01-2015 01:43 PM

Think Moose just resigned with ROH a couple months ago. He might be the one to take the titles of Lethal. Really like Moose and Dijak.

Simple Fan 11-04-2015 11:56 PM

Silas Young and Beer City Bruiser quit half way through the match with the Youngbucks and made the Boys finish the match.

Simple Fan 11-05-2015 05:16 PM

Mr. Nerfect 11-10-2015 08:43 PM

I can honestly say I am not interested in any of those guys being champion right now.

Simple Fan 11-10-2015 08:53 PM

Just needs to go back on EC3

Mr. Nerfect 11-10-2015 08:56 PM

It shouldn't have come off him.
