I think Thor is one of the most brilliant "creations" of Stan Lee.
Like he was sitting around one day and was like "*sigh* I don't want to create absolutely everything...... HEY! I know! I'll take a mythological Norse God and make him into a superhero! It already comes with a mass of supporting characters and villains! I'll just... I dunno... saddle Thor with a cripple human doctor alter ego in order to make him humble! The rest writes itself!"
