yeah you'll notice that i've posted multiple times in the walking dead's thread, been one of my favourite books for ages.

sandman is still in mega-early developmental stages. gaiman isn't even attached (yet). and the fact that news on fables has been slim kind of reinforces the point.

regardless, it's not like they're bending over backwards to develop the non-superhero comics market for tv. preacher has been in various incarnations of development hell for years. in the time that book has been 'maybe/maybe not'-ing as far as tv development is concerned, we've had 10 years of smallville, a failed aquaman pilot, short-lived live action series of birds of prey, justice league and the flash, and early talks and then justified discarding of the graysons. not to mention the slew of animated works on both dc and marvel's parts. can't believe someone couldn't write a decent script for a preacher animated series or something.
